Hurricane Evacuation Information
If Beaufort has a category 1 or 2 hurricane,
you will not be required to evacuate. But, you may be in
need of a shelter. Check out Beaufort County’s web site
information on area shelters.
PLEASE NOTE: BEAUFORT
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IS NOT A SHELTER.
If the area is required to evacuate, Beaufort Memorial Hospital will follow a pre-determined evacuation plan. Arrangements will be made with designated inland hospitals to take our patients. Only patients who cannot travel on their own will be transported.
You may check with the hospital’s Safety Director at 522-5602 if you have questions about patient evacuation.
