Before you come to the hospital
If you and your doctor plan for you to be admitted to our hospital, make sure you have your insurance card(s) and other information with you when you come.
Insurance pre-certification
Most insurance companies require pre-certification, or approval of admission before a scheduled hospital stay. It is our policy to contact you insurance company to verify benefits and to initiate our pre-certification requirements.
It is your responsibility to pre-certify your scheduled admission by contacting your insurance company before coming to the hospital. You can pre-certify emergency admissions by contacting your insurance company as soon as possible—usually within 24 hours.
