Cochrane Heart Center

The Cochrane Heart Center at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, developed in affiliation with Duke University Health System, offers a full range of diagnostic heart services, including cardiac catheterization.

Named for community leader and hospital advocate Bill Cochrane, the Cochrane Heart Center features comprehensive diagnostic services, a state-of-the-art, fully digital cardiac catheterization lab and top-notch professional staff. And, our heart specialists have immediate access to the Duke heart team and its decades of experience in the research and treatment of heart disease.

Beaufort Memorial is the first and only hospital in South Carolina to affiliate with Duke. Ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the southeast’s best heart program, Duke offers BMH expertise and resources that are second to none.

Through this unique partnership, our cardiologists are armed with valuable preventiondiagnostic and rehabilitation information for area residents.

Because Duke’s heart program has been rated among the top 10 in the nation, patients seen at the Cochrane Heart Center have the opportunity for improved clinical outcomes and an enhanced quality of life.

All services are centralized for convenience in the Cochrane Heart Center. In addition to diagnostic cardiac catheterization, these include:
