Orthopaedic surgeon Edward Blocker, MD sees patients at Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists at 300 Midtown Drive in Port Royal. 

A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Dr. Blocker completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center, and the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children – Greenville Unit.  He joined the medical staff of Beaufort Memorial in 1998.  He performs hip and knee replacement surgeries, as well as general orthopaedic procedures including trauma, hand, and sports surgeries.

Beaufort Memorial currently employs seven primary care doctors, five general surgeons, a vascular surgeon, and a psychiatrist.  The not-for-profit community hospital has been in business in Beaufort since 1944.
